Faculty: Gabriele Sander-Meyer
German Teacher
Gabriele Sander-Meyer comes to us with a Master’s Degree in History and German Literature from Gerhart-Mercator-Universität Duisburg, and 20 years of German teaching experience. Born and raised in Germany, Frau Sander-Meyer and her family now live in Rochester Hills. For the last 15 years she’s been teaching here in the US, including four years of Waldorf teaching as the German teacher at Oakland Steiner School. More recently, she has been preparing students for the German language certificate DSD at Deutsche Sprachschule Bloomfield. Outside school, Frau Sander-Meyer enjoys reading, cooking and baking, running and last not least, volunteering at the Detroit Institute of Arts.
