January, 2023–Our school had the honor of hosting Grammy nominated singer songwriter and children's book author, Valerie June @thevaleriejune, right here on the Detroit Waldorf School stage! Valerie performed for our students and read her children's book "Somebody to Love" along with the book’s illustrator Marcela Avelar @marcelaavelar.
