Sherry Gaines
Sunrise AM Assistant
Sherry Gaines is an assistant teacher for the second year in the Sunrise (kindergarten) class. She has been and assistant for four years, and worked as a substitute and substitute coordinator for one year at the Detroit Waldorf School. Sherry has a BFA in Photography from the College of Creative Studies. She has her certification as a Myomassagologist from Irene’s Myomassagology Institute. She started a Masters program at Wayne State University in Social Work and paused her program to become a Mother. Sherry came to the Waldorf community when her son was a toddler, and he is now in the 7th grade class at Detroit Waldorf. Sherry has lived abroad in Germany where she spent time traveling to other cities and countries. She currently resides in Grosse Pointe Park with her son. Sherry has completed her Foundations course in Waldorf education and is looking forward to starting her training in early childhood education. She loves photography, art, being in nature and plant based/nutritional cooking.
