Fourth Grade Class Teacher and College Chair
Affectionately known as Ms. B. by her students, Julia is currently the 4th Grade Class Teacher. She has been a member of the DWS community since the late 90's. Julia's service to the community over the years has taken on many forms; Class Teacher, Handwork Teacher, Educational Support program Chair and Teacher, Substitute, Kindergarten Assistant, College of Teachers Member, Volunteer and Parent. She completed her Waldorf Certification in 2001 and Studied Fine Art at Wayne State University with a concentration in printmaking and painting. Julia also completed Waldorf Extra Lesson Educational Support Certification from AHE in 2015. In her free time Julia enjoys spending time with family and friends, travel near and far, attending live performances of any kind, exploring her home city of Detroit, and expressing her artistic side in many mediums.
