Cathy Koenig comes to the Detroit Waldorf school as both a parent and an Early Childhood Educator. Before obtaining her degree in Child Development and Early Education, Cathy spent several years in the field of Fashion Merchandising and Retail Sales after earning a degree from Central Michigan University. She then enjoyed several years in the travel industry, working as both a travel agent and a flight attendant. Cathy became interested in child development while working as an advocate for children placed in the Michigan fostercare system and she continues to be passionate about supporting children and their families. In her spare time she loves to travel, cook, garden and watch Detroit Tigers baseball.
