Faculty: Rae Gaddy

Second Grade Class Teacher

Rae Gaddy is a teaching artist who attended Detroit Waldorf School from 4th-8th grade.  She graduated with honors from the University of Windsor Modern Languages program in 2015, where she specialized in Linguistics, and received certification as an ESL instructor. Before committing her time and energy to the education of children, Rae spent all of her nights and weekends singing in jazz clubs and providing vocal coaching.

She returned to Detroit Waldorf School as an adult in the fall of 2016, and took up several different assisting, teaching, and administrative roles, all of which support her current work as a class teacher.  When the pandemic made commuting to DWS  impossible, Rae made lemonade, temporarily relocated, and completed her Waldorf certification at Rudolf Steiner College Canada.
