Faculty: Justin Trombly
Justin Trombly has taught children of all ages from preschool through 8th grade in both public and private settings. He has been teaching in Waldorf schools for the past 12 years, first in Chicago and then in Portland, Oregon. Justin received his Waldorf teaching certification from the Micha-el Institute in Portland. He taught grades 1-8 at the Swallowtail Waldorf School in Oregon and graduated his eighth grade class in 2016. The Waldorf curriculum and how it works with the developing child is a constant inspiration to Justin.
Justin grew up in Berkley, Michigan and attended the University of Detroit Jesuit High School. He earned a BA in Elementary Education and Philosophy from Loyola University in Chicago. Justin has played music professionally, traveling in the United States, Canada and Europe. He resides in Ferndale with his wife and two children and enjoys drawing, painting, bike riding, cooking and gardening.
