Eurythmy lies at the heart of Waldorf Education…

A performing and pedagogical movement art developed by Rudolf Steiner, Eurythmy aligns with brain-based learning and the concept of whole child development. It is a language of movement with its own alphabet. This alphabet is comprised of archetypal gestures that represent the spoken sounds of both vowels and consonants, and the tones of the musical scales and intervals. It also embodies a disciplined training of the thinking, feeling, and willing aspects of the child. Eurythmy is particularly vital for childhood development in a culture that is becoming more and more sedentary and polarized within the head/nerve-sense system.
