Faculty: Simone Shurney
Simone was a student at DWS for 7 years and graduated in 2003. She graduated from the University of Michigan in 2011 with a Bachelor's degree in Sociology and a minor in Spanish Literature. She then moved from her home in Detroit to Philadelphia where she earned an M.S. Ed. in Educational Policy from the University of Pennsylvania.
Simone's long-term career goal is to help students cultivate their academic talents in a way that encourages them to build more meaningful connections with their work and better identify with the subjects they are expected to master. This past fall, she graduated from the Waldorf Teacher Training program in elementary education.
