Faculty: Sierra Edgar
Spanish Teacher and 6-8 Math Support
Sierra Edgar is a proud graduate of the Detroit Waldorf School Class of 2003 and the University of Michigan Class of 2011. During her time at U of M, she participated in the Michigan Marching Band, was a member of Kappa Kappa Psi National Honorary Band Fraternity, and was a Sweetland Center Peer Tutor. Sierra received a BA with a double major in English and Spanish Literature, and her teaching certificate for Spanish K-12 education. After graduating from college, she volunteered in Colombia for 6 weeks to deepen her knowledge of Hispanic language and culture.
Sierra worked for 2 years, 3 days a week in the Ann Arbor Public School System teaching Spanish through the Ann Arbor Language Partnership, and is recently switching from two years of teaching in a Detroit charter high school. Sierra's passion in life is education and her most important past time is spending time with my family and friends.
