Faculty: Sasha Roberts-Levi
Art & Woodworking Teacher - Grades 4-8
Sasha Roberts-Levi is the art teacher for students in grades 4 - 8th. She comes to Detroit Waldorf School with three decades of experience teaching children and adults, inspiring creativity and supporting academic growth. She has taught in the public, charter, higher education, non-profit, community and private sectors, in addition to her private practice providing educational therapy, art education, and advocacy support to families with children with special needs.
Sasha received her BFA from Eastern Michigan University, her Masters of Education at Marygrove, her Education Specialist in bi-cultural curriculum and instruction at Wayne State University, and has studied Waldorf pedagogy at the Waldorf Institute of Southeastern Michigan (WISM). Sasha is also an artist, constructivist-reading teacher, and special education teacher by training and a social-reconstructivist by nature.
Along with teaching, Sasha enjoys spending time with her husband and their three cats. She enjoys reading, bike riding, dancing, concerts, camping, making art, cooking, and gardening. She is a long-time (transplanted) Detroiter who enjoys exploring new areas and meeting new people.
